Terms of Service
The agreement between you and Blockbrainers SAS when you use Skewtape.
Last updated: 2 Nov 2026
Operated by Blockbrainers SAS, France.
Pre-launch notice
Skewtape is in pre-launch (launching November 2026). These terms will apply from the moment the service goes live. If you have questions beforehand, email hello@skewtape.com.
In short
- Skewtape sells data and developer tooling. It is not a market, not a broker and not advice.
- It is for developers, researchers and businesses, not for retail traders.
- Cancel a subscription at any time from Stripe.
- The data comes as is, and what you do with it is your decision.
01Legal notice
Skewtape is operated by Blockbrainers SAS, a French simplified joint-stock company, SIREN [TODO: SIREN], registered office [TODO: registered address], France. Share capital [TODO: amount], RCS [TODO: city and number], VAT number [TODO: number]. Director of publication: [TODO: name]. Contact: hello@skewtape.com.
The site is hosted by Vercel Inc., [TODO: Vercel's address and phone number].
02What Skewtape is
Skewtape is a developer data product. It combines public prediction-market data from Polymarket, Kalshi (under licence), Kalshi-DFlow and Hyperliquid HIP-4 into one schema, with resolution labels and reviewed matched events. You get it as Parquet files, REST, WebSocket, an MCP server and SDKs, depending on your plan.
Skewtape does not operate a market, hold funds or make recommendations, and at launch it places no orders. A later SDK release may send orders from your own software with your own venue keys. Nothing on the site or in the data is financial, investment or legal advice. [TODO(legal review)]
03Who it is for
Software developers, researchers and businesses. Skewtape is not for retail traders. It is not offered to consumers in France, or in any country where prediction markets are restricted for consumers. [TODO(legal review)]
04Your responsibility
Prediction markets are restricted in some countries. You are responsible for following the law where you are and each venue's rules. Access to our data gives you no access to any venue. The Acceptable Use Policy lists what you may not do with Skewtape, and is part of these terms.
05Plans and prices
What each plan includes is on the pricing section. The Free plan needs no card. Paid plans show in USD, EUR or GBP, and you pay in the currency you choose. [TODO: whether prices include VAT]
06Pre-orders
History and Builder can be pre-ordered through Stripe before launch. History is delivered on launch day, and Builder billing starts on launch day. Pro opens with the API: you can leave your email, and nothing is charged.
If we miss launch, you get a full refund of anything you paid. We miss launch if [TODO(legal review): History and the Builder API are not available by 30 November 2026].
The founding Builder price is locked for life. [TODO(legal review): that means it holds for as long as your subscription stays active. If you cancel and come back, the current price applies.]
07Payment and cancelling
Stripe processes every payment. History is a single payment. Subscriptions renew each month until you cancel, and you can cancel at any time from Stripe. [TODO(legal review): you keep access until the end of the month you paid for. Months already started are not refunded, unless the law requires it.]
08Right of withdrawal
[TODO(legal review): consumer withdrawal rights, how they apply to digital content, and the step at checkout.]
09Your key and limits
Each customer gets one API key. Keep it secret: you are responsible for what happens under it. We revoke a key that is abused or shared outside your organisation. Builder includes 3 WebSocket connections and 1M API calls a month. Pro includes 10 connections and 5M calls. [TODO: what happens past these limits]
10The data licence
What you may do with the data is set by the Data Licence, which is part of these terms. Kalshi data comes to you under our data licence with Kalshi; the Data Licence and Attributions pages set what that means for you.
11Accuracy and availability
We build the data from venue sources and a person approves each match, but mistakes happen and venues change their records. The data comes as is, with no promise that it is complete, correct or fit for your purpose. Check anything you rely on.
The service is best effort. One server serves everyone, with no per-plan SLA and no uptime guarantee at launch. Anything that must change in the schema ships with a version bump and a migration note.
12Liability
[TODO(legal review): cap on liability and exclusions.]
13Ending
Either side can end this agreement with 30 days' notice. You can also cancel a subscription at any time from Stripe. We may suspend a key at once if it is abused. [TODO(legal review)]
14Data processing
Skewtape does not process personal data on your behalf, so these terms include no data processing addendum. If your company needs one, email hello@skewtape.com. [TODO(legal review)]
15Changes
When these terms change, we update the date at the top and tell paying customers [TODO: 30 days] before a change that affects them.
16Law and disputes
French law applies. [TODO(legal review): governing law, the courts that hear disputes, and consumer mediation.]
